Critical Thinking in a Production Environment

 

This project is scenario-based training for production staff at a manufacturing company. The goal is to reduce the number of errors and, in turn, reduce the additional expense and maintain customer satisfaction.

Audience: Production staff who struggle to follow SOPs and lack critical thinking skills. The staff has completed the Critical Thinking course and is now ready for hands-on practice.

Identifying the Need

Action Map & Storyboards

After identifying the customer needs, I entered the information into an action map to discern the hierachy of the activity. The storyboards outline the specific scenarios, answer choices and feedback for both correct and incorrect answers to help the learner work through the scenario.

Job Aids

These two job aids are for virtual agents who have completed training. These job aids will be used while on calls or chats assisting a customer. Colors and objects are from the applicable style guide.

Technical Writing

I worked with a small auto glass installation business to document their processes. This example is for the customer support staff who are responsible for quoting prices for autoglass installation.
